About Our VolunteersVolunteers are welcomed at all Unit 4 schools. Each year over 1,000 volunteers donate over 15,000 hours of time to our schools: tutoring, mentoring, or assisting in our classrooms. Public school districts cannot success in their mission without the dedication and support of the many volunteers who work in our classrooms. We are grateful for the caring and commitment of our volunteers and can honestly say we cannot do it without you.

What is the senior volunteer program?
Unit 4 Schools, with support from WellCare Health Plans Inc., are piloting a ground-breaking program in the local high schools to bring senior (55 and older) volunteers into the classrooms to assist with the regular classroom teachers with instruction. We are seeking seniors with experience in business, computers, building and technical trades, writing, theater, art, dance, coaching, and other areas.
