Teacher Appreciation Week is May 3-7th

Our teachers, therapists (and all of our staff) have done an amazing job this past year of adjusting to teaching during the pandemic and really deserve to be recognized and appreciated. Please take a minute to let them know they are appreciated, or feel free to send me a message to pass along. Let’s show them some love!

May Learning Kits

Distance Learning Families will have the May Learning Kit delivered on Monday, April 26th. All In Person students will bring their kits home with them on Tuesday, April 27th. Please note that within these kits, there will be special game cards and Goldfish or Pop Chips to be used as game pieces in our Thursday, April 29th Family Game Event. Please save those for April 29th and attend with your child.

CECC Family Game Event

Speaking of our Family Game Event, the two sessions are at 10:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 29th. Game cards and "pieces" will be included in the May Learning Kit coming home next week. We will draw 3 family names from those in attendance to give away gift cards. Gift cards include: $50 to Meijer, $25 to Chilis, and $25 to Papa Johns. We hope to see you on Thursday for this super fun event!!

Parent Panel Meeting

On Thursday, May 20th at 5:30 p.m., we will hold a special meeting with any interested parents to discuss topics related to supporting families, including ensuring we are being equitable to all families and their students. If you are interested in joining us, please send me an email at [email protected], and I will send you the Zoom link. We would love and appreciate your participation and need your input.

Returning Student Registration

Online registration for returning students begins May 3! Unit 4 families returning from the previous year will receive an email by the end of April with online registration information. The email will include a link to the website, along with instructions on how to register for the upcoming school year. It is important that your email is listed in our Home Access Center. Please contact your child's building or the Choice Office at (217) 351-3701 if you have questions about adding or adjusting an email. PLEASE NOTE: Registration is online only this year. May 24 - Last Official Day of School

* Returning Families will receive our calendar for next school year before the end of this year.
